Get Connected
- Check the live status above. If it says Server Down, try again later. Server Up confirms the server is responding, but the game still needs its matching badge catalog to be installed.
- On a Luma 3DS, get a trusted SSL/“NoSSL” patch (for example, from Pretendo's 3DS proxy patch folder) and place it at
sd:/luma/sysmodules/0004013000002F02.ips. Hold SELECT while powering on, enable Enable loading external FIRMs and modules and Enable game patching, then save and reboot. - Create a BadgeCade proxy login. Save the username and password; they are not your Nintendo Account credentials.
- In the saved Wi-Fi connection's proxy settings, set server proxy.badgecade.com, port 8080, and turn Basic Authentication On. Enter the BadgeCade username and password you just created.
- Run the 3DS connection test, then open Badge Arcade. If the test works but the game does not, check the status above and note the exact error code.
Security: Proxy Basic Authentication is not encrypted between the 3DS and the proxy. Use a new throwaway password that you do not use anywhere else. The NoSSL patch also relaxes HTTPS certificate checks on the console; install it only from a source you trust.
PATCH AND GAME DATA
Before You Start
- The SSL/“NoSSL” patch changes certificate checking so HTTPS can pass through the proxy. It does not redirect Badge Arcade to BadgeCade.
- This setup does not include a verified BadgeCade hostname-redirect patch. Do not treat
0004013000002F02.ipsas one. - The USA v131 server currently lacks its matching
allbadge_v131.datcatalog. The status can say Server Up while the game is still incomplete; a clean launch and tutorial claw-machine access are not confirmed until that game data is installed and tested.
